He goes to a small town where he meets a fellow who has been trying to teach him English for months and suddenly he starts speaking.
The man in the movie is none other than the movie’s lead, Pavitra Srinivasan. Pavitra is a youngish guy who has lost his memory as well. The movie’s story starts with him running away from a crime scene, and then he meets up with a young boy who asks him for money. The boy then makes Pavitra promise that one day he will be able to speak.
Pavitra is a bit of an odd guy. He wants to learn English because he thinks it will help him get into a better job. He’s also a bit of an idealist. If you think about it, that’s pretty much what every other person in our society is. A “good” person is one that believes in things like equality, justice, and freedom.
